Resinous flooring, polymer flooring, poured flooring, these names are all synonymous with what most people refer to as epoxy flooring. Simply stated, resinous flooring is created by the application of a base of resinous material to a rigid substrate, usually concrete. This type of flooring is used in a wide variety of industrial and commercial settings including but not limited to, food processing, commercial kitchens, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, healthcare, animal care, automotive, aviation, chemical production, warehousing, retail, as well as public and governmental facilities. The major categories that these flooring systems fall into are epoxies, urethanes and MMAs (methyl methacrylate), and urethane cements. There are also decorative flooring systems, concrete sealers, electro static dissipative, and conductive floors made from resinous materials. Which of these systems is a good fit for you depends upon many factors and can only be determined by allowing a trained resinous flooring engineer to assess your particular needs.
